I’m a Data Platform Engineer who builds data systems and the infrastructure they run on for analytical and AI workloads.

That means working across pipelines, cloud infrastructure, orchestration, data modelling, security, networking, and all the behind the scenes work needed before others can build beautiful dashboards, AI agents, or applications.
My biggest hot take? If companies really want ROI from AI, they need to pay a lot more attention to their data platforms. AI is only as useful as the data and infrastructure it’s sitting on. Unreliable, fragmented or poorly governed data doesn’t magically become better because you put AI on top of it.
And that’s exactly the kind of problem I like solving.

Designed a platform that takes raw data through automated Bronze, Silver and Gold layers and turns it into reliable, business-ready datasets. I implemented dimensional models, orchestration, CI/CD and hierarchical least-privilege RBAC so access stays structured and secure.

Moved manually provisioned AWS infrastructure into Terraform and CI/CD so it could be reproduced without configuration drift. I also built multi-AZ networking with public and private subnets, routing and the network isolation needed for data engineering workloads.

Built a Python data pipeline on AWS, orchestrated it with Airflow, and containerised it with Docker and Kubernetes. The pipeline removed about two hours of manual work every day and prevented a €50,000 OpEx miscalculation for the Finance team.

Architected a serverless AWS data lake that brought data from Google Sheets and PostgreSQL into one place so stakeholders could query marketing and sales data directly with SQL. It was designed to support a projected 300% increase in data volume at little infrastructure cost.
